471 : Finals
and so skyrim released a console patch in order to fix the lag and various other glitches. I can’t say I’ve seen a difference. I’ve still been experiencing lag at points, but so far I have all the files so I’m not concerned. regardless I ran skyrim for an hour this morning and have been quite productive for finals. I’m not concerned with finals either.

I didn’t sleep until two last night as I was on skyrim. file at level twenty, not that far, but far enough. it disappeared. I had heard that over twenty hours it starts to mess up, and I assume it did. I thought nothing of it, and started another, only to have it freeze during auto save. discouraged to start again now. anyone else running on console experience this?

469 : Fiction
I mentioned drawing just isn’t working, so it occured now I should channel the form of art that I’ve immersed myself in as of late, literature. I went through a couple of the prose accounts on here that I follow and I’d like to write my own. we’ll see how it turns out.

468 : Critic
I’ve tried on multiple occasions to produce art, to no avail. I find since I changed up my style I’ve become my own worst critic. I know others would think the work is fine, but I don’t make it for anyone else, I make it for myself. I’ll keep working at it when the time arises.

I loathe thee. I had to conjure a different thesis as the previous wasn’t strong enough due to lack of evidence. I came up with a great thesis afterward but struggling now to find points. I’ve read and read romeo and juliet twice since the morning and I still haven’t found enough. I don’t want to fathom having to think another thesis.

spent time at the bookstore once again, this time picked up ‘the history of witchcraft and demonology’ it deals with witchcraft in religious, literary, and spiritual context. it also takes on possesion and satanism. looking forward to finishing this having read eagleton’s ‘on evil’

speaking with my brother on the topic of tattoos. he told me about the design he’d like to have, and I quickly sketched a rough outline of what I interpreted. we talked about how I wanted to pursue it, and our parents position on the entire thing. we’ve decided to convince them to allow it. not entirely the career option, but having work done. I’ve been speaking with him a lot...

I’d been running skyrim for hours, and thought to take a break, only feeling the urge to get back on moments after. I’ve oblivion as well, but couldn’t get into it. I find only after completing fallout that I find skyrim more accessible. also, the fact they removed the damaging of weapons, not matter how realistic, I find it a lot greater. it was tedious, and elder scrolls can do...

I’ve only just come across this group when searching for the live versions of ok computer. they’re covers are intense, and they cover a great deal of bands from relient k to coldplay to of course radiohead. the paranoid android and karma police covers are by far the greatest.

461 : OK Computer
it’d always been the greatest album from radiohead in my opinion. having the poster framed in front of the desk, I decided I’d take a listen to it from first to last. I remember the first time I heard radiohead. that one riff in paranoid android. I think after cleaning I’ll draw.

I informed him I picked up the collector’s edition of skyrim, to which he replied ‘you’ve damned us all.’ translates as, we’re going to lose all communication with the outside world. I have to say, the massive alduin statue was well worth the lost of a social life.

459 : Strive
I’ve surrounded myself with art. audio, visual, all of it. I even went and picked up finer tools for producing more art. I know the ‘drawings’ section of this account is empty, but I hope to work on some new pieces soon. the entire day was relaxed. didn’t wake too early, picked up supplies, purchased a radiohead ok computer poster, found snow on the ground, arrived to find...

457 : Titans
there was plenty of mythological inaccuracy in immortals. I couldn’t help but focus on them throughout the film. like a cinematography major, unable to focus on the plot of the film due to the analyzing of cinematic elements. in this case, I could only focus on the ‘original’ myths. regardless, the film was intense. as expected from the producers of three hundred. it was greater...

456 : Immortals
after our lectures, we’re leaving for scarborough town centre to see immortals. familiar with theseus and hyperion from the myths and literature course from last semester, I’m curious to see how this tale works out. hyperion has become a king and not a titan. I know film and myth have never quite worked accurately, but entertaining to say the least. clash of the titans wasn’t all...

455 : Dubliners
I mentioned that eagleton book I picked up, ‘on evil’ before and how it references a lot of literature I’ve read before. I spent time at the bookstore again, and decided to pick up another copy of dubliners, as well as a portrait of the artist as a young man. also, I decided to find another copy of the picture of dorian gray. I figure since it’s the novel I recommend the...

454 : Cue The Sun
it’s difficult explaining exactly what’s wrong. it’s been the greatest struggle for any writer to produce something profound, groundbreaking, or quiet through words. it’s not a lack of vocabulary. it’s a strain on pathos or ethos, or I’d like to think a struggle to find a reader. a listener. I want to be that individual. someone others can talk to. I know the...

I don’t usual catch on to north american hardcore trends until after they’ve become real mainstream, kind of unfortunate. regardless I discovered defeater this afternoon. the bass and vocals are to die for. I sort of want to find a simple yet large audio player, so I can use it for all the genres of music I listen to. I’d download instrumental soundtracks and the metal, including...

452 : Meaning
I’ve been browsing ink work done this morning, and I can’t help but think of reasons behind them. I’d think that ink is permanent, and should be meaningful. looking at work done, I find a lot of them are just for beautiful imagery, with a sort of pseudo-meaning attached to justify it. of course I can’t claim which are false and which carry actual meaning. in fact...

451 : Remembrance
I don’t personally know anyone who has served in any type of war, but I’ve read enough world war trauma novels to know the horror of the frontlines. I always reflected in elementary when we stood for the silence, about strangers fighting for the rights of others. to live for others they didn’t know.

I digress from the previous post to review a write whom fits all criteria the former lacked. terry eagleton’s on evil, ‘the prominent cultural thinker launches an eloquent defense of the reality of evil, drawing on literary, theological, and psychoanalytic sources to suggest that evil is a real phenomenon with palpable dorce in our contemporary world.’ I’ve yet to finish,...

I’ve been to the bookstore three or four times this week, and as always, I check the horror and occultism sections, respectively.
